Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Club Compliance Data Analyst II to lead investigations of Club rules violations and improve compliance controls.

The role designs and analyzes portfolio reporting on operational and financial trends, using SQL and data tools to extract insights and support decision making. You will work with Legal, Club, Operations, and HR to implement improvements, develop ad-hoc analyses, and ensure data integrity across internal systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in MIS/IS/IT or Business.
  • 2 years of experience in customer operations or similar.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting using SQL, Power BI, Python, Excel.
  • Ability to write owner-facing documents and scripts.

Responsibilities

The Club Compliance Data Analyst II will lead internal investigations to conduct a thorough analysis of Club compliance. This position plays a key role in identifying, investigating, and evaluating violations of the Club rules. Additionally, this role has the responsibility to propose additional regulation/compliance measures once areas of improvement are identified to meet company compliance objectives, makes key decisions regarding the design and approach of business solutions with minimal supervision and makes key decisions regarding the design and approach of business solutions with minimal supervision.

This position designs and analyzes portfolio reporting on operational and financial trends using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to data mining. Assists with the design, development, testing, and maintenance of key operational databases, macro programs, and data queries. It also ensures security, stability, and data integrity of internal systems, fulfills standard and ad-hoc reporting needs and maintains the accuracy and integrity of report data and works with other functional areas within the company to establish performance and operational metrics to improve and measure capability across the organization.

How You'll Shine:
Analysis and Investigation (40%)
  • Analyze booking trends and benefit usage across accounts to identify trends, unapproved collaborations, or rule violations.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and specialized departments such as Legal, Club, Operations, Title Services, and HR to determine thresholds and successfully investigate all Club, Legal, or Compliance potential violations.
  • Lead process evaluations and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.
  • Follow up on outstanding action points within an agreed-upon timetable and ensure all issues are closed in a timely manner.
Evaluation, Monitoring, Controlling (10%)
  • Monitor all issues identified during the analysis and investigation process.
  • Develop controls to mitigate future risk.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Club and HR to evaluate controls related to the following areas of focus: Point Utilization, Booking Trends, Contact Center Operations, Sales and Marketing, and 3rd Party Activity.
  • Formulate recommendations to improve internal control processes and other value-added opportunities, as appropriate.
Data Reporting, Manipulation, Analysis and Story Telling (40%)
  • Creating reports and developing tools and processes to automate reports.
  • Analyzing large amounts of data relating to sales, customers, or financial performance.
  • Using Structured Query Language (SQL) and other coding languages to extract data.
  • Aligning reports to business objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborating with other business areas and leaders to identify reporting needs.
  • Accessing existing databases and creating processes for storage of new data.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Identify operational or financial variances and develop and implement forecast models for planning and control.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, IS, IT or Business, or equivalent work experience-One to three years of experience in the following:
  • Contact Center/Customer Operations
  • Designing automation and data connections using any of the following...
  • Power Apps, SharePoint, SQL, SAS, Power BI, Python Excel, Tableau, Visual Basic
  • Communication cross-functional amongst leadership, Manager and above
  • Risk Management – executing with decision velocity
Knowledge and Skills
  • Proven ability to sustain performance and take on new work with little to no supervision.
  • Excellent business writing and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to write owner facing documents and scripts.
  • Ability to create training guides and standard operation procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and track multiple projects and deadlines throughout the work week.
  • Enjoys attention to details.
Technical Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Office 365, Word, Excel, Access, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint,)
  • Visual Basic, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Snowflake or similar SQL DB Tools
  • Working knowledge of most if not all Club systems
Job Experience
  • 2 years of experience working in a customer contact center or equivalent.

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
