Job summary

Ogilvy New York is seeking a Social Analyst, Data & Analytics to partner with business leaders, social strategists, and creative teams to develop work grounded in audience insights, performance analysis, and social listening.

You will own reporting of owned channels and campaigns, develop measurement frameworks, and translate data into actionable recommendations for clients. This role emphasizes rigorous data-informed storytelling and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Think strategically about complex marketing challenges and translate data into insights for clients.
  • 2+ years in analytics or social intelligence roles.
  • Experience with social listening tools (Sprinklr, Meltwater, Brandwatch, etc.).
  • Comfort delivering clear methodologies, insights, and recommendations in presentations.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional data teams across paid media, PR, and influencer reporting.
  • Experience with syndicated and social audience insights tools (GWI, MRI Simmons, Synthesio, etc.).
  • Ability to independently build analytical and technical skills through certifications and self-learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop holistic measurement plans for social, influencer, and PR content.
  • Use social listening for cultural, consumer, and competitive research and identify earned media opportunities.
  • Create consumer profiles to inform targeting and content development.
  • Develop expertise in data tools to enhance learning and optimization.
  • Advocate for data-driven approaches to improve work and value.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in Data & Analytics and cultural intelligence.
  • Present data findings clearly to internal teams and clients, engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build data-informed work.

About the Role

As aDataAnalyst,you'llpartner with business leaders, social strategists, and creative teams to develop work grounded in audience insights, performance analysis, and social listening.You'llchampion a culture of effectiveness,collaborating with clients and partners to build testing and measurement frameworks that prove the real-world impact of our campaigns.

WhatYou'llDo
  • Take ownership of ongoing reporting andanalysis ofowned channels, earned media, and campaign performance.
  • Develop holistic measurement plans that encompass social, influencer, and PR-driven content.
  • Utilize deep social listening to support cultural, consumer, and competitive research; develop insights; and identify earned media opportunities.
  • Leverage audience-focused data to create detailed consumer profiles, informing targeting recommendations and content development.
  • Continuously develop expertise in third-party and proprietary data tools to enhance learning and optimization.
  • Proactively advocate for the use of data and analytics resources to optimize work and deliver meaningful value.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in Data & Analytics, helping to strengthen Ogilvy's authority in cultural intelligence and effectiveness.
  • Distill data analysis, findings, and recommendations into clear, impactful presentations for internal teams and clients, while engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including creative specialists, to develop data-informed work.
WhatYou'llNeed
  • Proven ability to think strategically about complex business and marketing challenges, translating data and insights into clear, compelling recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics or social intelligence focused roles.
  • Strong experience in using social listening tools (such as Sprinklr, Meltwater, Brandwatch, etc.)
  • Skilled in crafting and delivering presentations that clearly communicate methodologies, insights, and recommendations
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional data teams across paid media, PR, and influencer strategy and reporting
  • Experience using syndicated and social audience insights tools (such as GWI, MRI Simmons, Profiler by Synthesio, etc.)
  • Experience working with third-party social analytics measurement tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, etc.)
  • Proven ability to independently and proactively build analytical and technical skills through certifications, bootcamps, and self-directed learning.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, for more details.

Pay Range

$35,000 — $75,000 USD
