Job summary

Decision Technologies, Inc. in Northern Virginia/Washington, DC, seeks an AN/SPS-73(V)18 NGSSR Support to join our team. You will support an IPT delivering naval radar and combat system logistics and technical services under IPT leadership.

The role requires a Secret clearance and involves coordinating budgets, scheduling, and fielding plans with Navy stakeholders to ensure on-time readiness and compliance with modernization processes.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Navy Modernization Process (NMP) and Navy Data Environment (NDE) and installation readiness.
  • Experience with Department of the Navy Budgeting, Programming, and Execution and installation funding requirements and processes.
  • Familiar with integration of Shipboard Equipment Fielding Plans and awareness of SSDS/AWS baselines.

Responsibilities

  • Support budget cycles. Determine procurement and fielding profiles within the FYDP. Ensure installation funding is provided as needed for execution.
  • Track system RDDs, procurements and system availability.
  • Develop and maintain hardware and software fielding plans based on ship availability schedules and interfaces, budget controls and procurement numbers; provide leadership recommendations.
  • Act as the Navy Modernization Process (NMP) process lead, ensuring adherence to process and tracking ship installation planning milestones.
  • Draft and brief Ship Change Documents (SCDs) at Local, Program level and Integrated Combat System Configuration Change Boards (CCBs) for approval before submitting in the Navy Data Environment (NDE).
  • Maintain accurate shipalt data in the Navy Modernization module of NDE (NDE-NM) and ensure alterations are C5IMP-baselined in AMPS; draft and submit Risk forms and Risk Assessment Messages when needed.
  • Review Ship Program Manager (SPM) APS and represent the Program Office at PEO Ship and PEO Carrier Availability Planning meetings to ensure alterations are included on LOAs and that installation planning meets schedule; draft Late Add naval message requests when needed.
  • Represent the Program Office at MRAs and CSCPs for SSDS ships; attend SSDS and AWS Baseline meetings to understand interface requirements and developments.

Position Description

Provide administrative support for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) whose purpose is to provide technical and logistics products and services for Navy radar and combat systems under the direction of an IPT Leader.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Support budget cycles. Determine procurement and fielding profiles within the FYDP. Ensure the installation funding is provided as needed for execution.
  • Track system Required Delivery Dates (RDDs), procurements and system availability.
  • Develop and maintain hardware and software fielding plans based on ship availability schedules and durations, availability of required system interfaces, budget controls and procurement #s. Analyze and provide recommendations to leadership as needed.
  • Act as the Navy Modernization Process (NMP) process lead, ensuring adherence to process and tracking ship installation planning milestones.
  • Draft and brief Ship Change Documents (SCDs) at the Local, Program level and Integrated Combat System Configuration Change Boards (CCBs) for approval before submitting in the Entitled Process module within the Navy Data Environment (NDE).
  • Maintain accurate shipalt data in the Navy Modernization module of NDE (NDE-NM) and ensure the alterations are C5IMP-baselined in the Afloat Management Planning System (AMPS) module in NDE. Draft and submit Risk forms and Risk Assessment Messages when needed.
  • Review Ship Program Manager (SPM) Advance Planning Sheets (APS) and represent the Program Office at PEO Ship and PEO Carrier Availability Planning meetings to ensure alterations are included on the Letters of Authorization (LOAs) and that installation planning progresses to meet schedule and milestones. When needed, draft and submit Late Add naval message requests.
  • Represent the Program Office at the Mission Readiness Assessments (MRAs) and Combat System Certification Panels (CSCPs) for SSDS ships. Attend SSDS and AWS Baseline meetings as necessary to understand the interface requirements and developments.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Knowledgeable in the Navy Modernization Process (NMP), the Navy Data Environment (NDE) and installation readiness.
  • Experience with Department of the Navy Budgeting, Programming, and Execution and installation funding requirements and processes.
  • Familiar with Integration of Shipboard Equipment Fielding Plans and aware of the SSDS and AWS baselines.
