Job summary

CompHealth is assisting in placing a locum ED physician in South Dakota to cover shifts with a typical schedule of 4 shifts per month. You will work 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm and nights) handling a patient load of 20–24 per day within a high-volume ED.

The assignment includes housing and travel arrangements, comprehensive malpractice coverage, and a streamlined credentialing process. A dedicated recruiter will coordinate details and provide ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible/board-certified in Emergency Medicine (if required by client).
• Active medical license in state of SD or eligibility to practice.

Responsibilities

• Approx 4 shifts/month – 12-hour shifts, 7 am - 7 pm and nights.
• Treats 20–24 patients per 24 hours.
• Handles up to 10k annual volume in the ED.
