Job summary

Cedar Point is seeking an entry-mid level maintenance technician to inspect, lubricate, troubleshoot, and repair amusement rides and devices. The role requires performing mechanical maintenance, operating shop equipment, and adhering to safety checklists.

You must join the Laborers Union, provide your own hand tools, and be able to work varied shifts including nights and weekends. Excellent record-keeping and the ability to read manuals are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Must join Laborers Union.
• Good record and writing skills.
• Able to work at heights, including from catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climb.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all mechanical maintenance in regards to amusement rides and devices.
• Operate machine shop equipment.
• Notify maintenance of equipment problems, building repairs, etc. necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Read and understand checklists, instruction manuals, etc.
• Maintain inventory of equipment.
• Assist in the inspection, routine maintenance, lubrication, and repairs of rides as instructed including replacement of bearings, wheels, miscellaneous parts, and oil changes.
• Maintain daily log sheets of inspections and repairs performed.
• Other duties may be assigned.
