Job summary

Daifuku Automotive America Corporation is seeking an experienced Shipping and Inventory Clerk at our Reynoldsburg, OH facility. You will support production processes by handling shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include preparing parts from assembly instructions and blueprints, stocking and organizing inventory, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic blueprint reading knowledge is preferred.
• SAP experience desirable and forklift experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in warehouse duties including shipping and receiving, building pallets/crates and packaging materials.
• Monitor and maintain inventory; prepare work as per instructions, study blueprints and parts lists.
• Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials (kitting).
• Maintain supplies inventory and place orders as needed; verify receipt of supplies.
• Package, secure and load product; track documents for product while monitoring inventory database.
• Communicate with vendors as needed; keep dock and storage areas organized.

Responsibilities

The primary goal is to satisfying customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery, in a safe manner, while maximizing productivity. Specifically, theShipping and Inventory Clerkis responsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities include but are not limited to: assisting in a varietyof warehouse duties,including shipping and receiving, building pallets/crates and packaging materials for shipping, monitoring and maintaining inventory;preparing work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials (kitting).

Other responsibilities:

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
• Package, secure and load product
• Track and prepare documents for product while monitoring database activity for inventory
• Communicate effectively with vendors when necessary, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintains dock and storage facilities in an organized manner; receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; restocks items as necessary; labels shelves

• Maintains all necessary associated documentation to support shipping and inventory activity
• Follows all plant safetyguidelines;practices and procedures. Must be aware of activity in the work surroundings and maintain a clean and safe work area
• Properly use personal protective equipment when required
• Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
• Supportsalldepartments with inventory needs

• Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred. Any technical or vocational education/training in relation to skills listed below is also desirable.

• Blueprint reading knowledgepreferred
• Must have basiccomputerskills(primarily Microsoft Excel)

• Must have basic measurement and math skills; must have knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring instruments
• Forklifts and Overhead crane experience preferred (in-house training available)
• SAP experience desirable
• Must be able to pass a background check andpre employmentdrug test
• Team player - must be able to work with othersand/or alone

• Must have and maintain a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed all production goals
• Attentive to detail watching for material defects,quality issues, inventory levels
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling,reachingand twisting throughout shift
• Capable of repetitively lifting25-50 lbs.
• Must maintain regular attendance – have reliable transportation

• Candidates must be flexible to work overtime as needed, which may include weekends and/or holidays

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in typical manufacturing environment with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Overhead LED lights throughout the workspace create a bright workspace for employees to safely perform their work.

• Normally clean work environment where the process creates somegrinding dust, heat/cold, fumes/odors,andvibration.Housekeeping is performed as needed throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
• The noise level in the work environmentis normal to manufacturing processes with air tools, grinders, and other tools. Yearly audiometric testing is provided by the company to monitor areas for improvement.
• Non-climate-controlled facility in the summer, each work area is provided with fans to help keep cool. In the winter it is heated.
