Gulfstream Aerospace Appleton is seeking a qualified AMT III A&P to join the team on 1st shift (Mon-Thu, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM) with overtime opportunities depending on business needs. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, and modification of critical aircraft systems, with FAA sign-offs and documentation requirements.

The ideal candidate will have an A&P license, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 3 years aviation maintenance experience.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints/3D drawings.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Prior aviation maintenance experience is highly helpful.

Responsabilidades

• Perform required maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems.
• Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot aircraft components such as airframes, engines, landing gear, electrical systems, and controls.
• Coordinate with inspection for FAA compliance and documentation; complete work orders and sign-offs on time.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and specifications; tag and secure customer property and components.
• Follow SOPs and JSAs when operating ground support equipment; use special tools for component removal/installation.
• Coordinate with other departments for overhaul or repairs as needed.
• Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to keep work areas clean and organized.
• Maintain knowledge of FAA regulations, maintenance manuals, IPCs, service bulletins, and engineering drawings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Unique Skills:

This position is a full time, 1st shift position that works 4, 10-hour shifts Monday -Thursday from 5:00AM -3:30PM. Overtime is available most weeks and may become mandatory if the business needs deem it necessary.

This position demands a strong attention to detail, ability to read blueprints and/or 3 dimensional computer drawings, work with many hand tools as well as drills, sanders, grinders, etc. Prior assembly or fabrication work is extremely helpful.

The work performed must be inspected and signed off per FAA specs and documented as such.

This position will require training by a Lead tech or a senior level tech. Mentoring will be done by various co-workers based on the task at hand.

The ability to read, write, communicate, and understand the English language is a must.

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 3 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical). A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver’s License required.

Position Purpose:

Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties requiring accuracy and skill.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Perform required. maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems .
2. Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems .
3. Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements .
4. Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner .
5. Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications .
6. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely .
7. Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment .
8. Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components .
9. Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed .

Additional Functions:

1. Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean .
2. Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment .
3. Coordinate movement of aircraft, as required. .
4. Maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

1. Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
2. Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
3. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
