Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to perform or assist with maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of aircraft components to ensure proper operation.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of aviation maintenance experience or an FAA A&P certificate, and a valid driver’s license. Works under close supervision and adheres to FAA requirements and company procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical aircraft components including airframes and control systems.
  • Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Properly identify customer property and equipment; store components securely.
  • Follow SOPs and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
  • Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
  • Coordinate with other departments to arrange for overhaul or repair of customer property.
  • Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean.
  • Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate movement of aircraft, as required.
  • Maintain working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Unique Skills

Aircraft mechanical knowledge of flight control, landing gear and emergency systems, hydraulic, oxygen and composite repair. G500/600/700/800 engine run qualification preferred but not required.

Position Purpose: Under close supervision, perform or assist with various functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform basic aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
  • Perform assigned maintenance and servicing of aircraft mechanical systems.
  • Repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components, and control systems.
  • Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Properly complete work order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment.
  • Operate and oversee use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
  • Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.
Additional Functions
