Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Physics Expert (AMO / Atomic Structure & Optical Properties) for a part-time, fully remote engagement. The role focuses on AMO physics, ab initio methods, and atomic-structure analyses related to spectroscopy and polarizability.

Ideal candidates hold an advanced physics degree and have hands-on experience with CI methods and Yb atomic systems. Flexible hours and worldwide collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• AMO/Atomic physics expertise required.
• Hands-on ab initio atomic-structure or quantum-chemistry calculations preferred.
• Experience with Yb atom systems (Yb-171, Yb-174) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert AMO physics insights on atomic structure, spectroscopy and optical properties.
• Review ab initio CI methods for polarizability calculations.
• Evaluate atomic-structure calculations for Yb-171 and Yb-174.
• Analyze energy levels, states, transitions, and spectroscopic data.
• Explain sigma vs pi transitions using orbital symmetry and selection rules.
• Critically review methods and results and communicate clearly in AI interviews.
