Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks an Ammunition Specialist responsible for the proper receipt, storage, documentation, and issuance of conventional ammunition and related items. You will learn to inspect and maintain munitions, and you may work with missiles, rockets, and guided weapons.

The role includes hands-on training, opportunities to join civilian ordnance fields, and a structured path from Basic Training to Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet standards.
Citizenship requirements apply.

Responsibilities

Operate stock control and accounting procedures.
Perform ammunition supply stock control using automated and manual methods.
Inspect weapon systems to determine repair or destruction needs.
