Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company seeks a Quality Inspection Superintendent to lead Quality Supervisors and Inspection staff, ensuring quality control and QA of ammunition production processes, materials, and products.

The role partners with Operations, Engineering, and Material Control to maintain a strong quality focus and reliable data records. A background in quality methods and supervisory experience is required; government clearance may be needed.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED required.
AA in technical or science field preferred.
5+ years related experience required.
Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license and pass background screening.

Responsibilities

Supervise Quality Supervisor and Inspection staff to ensure policy and quality practice compliance.
Oversee Ammunition Data Card processing and quality record generation/retention.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Material Control to ensure consistent execution of ammunition production.
Maintain clear verbal and written communication on quality issues at all organizational levels.
Support failure analysis and provide quality data for management decisions.
Approve time worked and coordinate staff coverage for planned/unplanned absences.
