Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, TX is seeking an Ammonia Technician to ensure safe operation, maintenance, and repair of ammonia refrigeration and related utilities. You will monitor systems, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot from manuals, and respond urgently to breakdowns while following RAGAGEP guidelines.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years related experience, and RETA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2+ years related experience.
• Vocational or technical schooling is preferred.
• RETA CARO/CIRO certification is preferred.
• RETA Operator I & II certification is preferred.
• 24 Hour Hazardous Response certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure set points are met.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Interpret manuals and prints to troubleshoot efficiently.
• Respond to breakdowns with urgency and document actions.
• Follow RAGAGEP guidelines and MSDS-related requirements.

List is not based on order of priority.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Monitors ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure all components are operating within established set points and parameters.* Performs routine maintenance on all mechanical and electrical ammonia refrigeration systems. Completes all required documentation.* Interprets maintenance manuals and technical prints to facilitate troubleshooting procedures.* Responds to system breakdowns and emergency situations with a sense of urgency.
