Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking an Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician in Sioux Falls, SD. The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 1+ years in industrial maintenance or 4 years of related experience in a food manufacturing environment.

You will operate on a 12-hour rotating shift, assist the maintenance team, and ensure safe, compliant equipment operation with emphasis on refrigeration and boiler systems and safety leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years’ direct experience in similar environments.
• Industrial maintenance experience should include knowledge in three or more of the listed areas: RETA Certification, Ammonia Refrigeration, Engine & Boiler systems, Electricity & motor controls, Controls & instrumentation, PLC/software & hardware, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, Mechanical systems, Predictive/Predictive maintenance, Maintenance Planning, Site utilities, System analysis & troubleshooting, Pipefitting & welding, Machining, Metal fabrication.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work independently are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a Refrigeration/Boiler Technician and assist maintenance personnel on shift.
• Work on 12-hour rotating shifts (2-2-3).
• Plan and conduct equipment repairs as part of a team.
• Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting abilities and safety leadership.
• Communicate openly with operations and respond to emergency work requests.
• Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices.

Job Title: Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician

Location: Sioux Falls, SD

Salary: $24-34/hour

Job Summary of the Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician: The Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician will perform the duties of a Refrigeration/Boiler Technician and assist other maintenance personnel on their shift. This is a 12-hour. rotating shift position

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician:

• Have or be able to attain RETA certification
• Demonstrate strong safety leadership skills and follow safe work practices
• Work as part of a team to plan and conduct equipment repairs
• Conduct routine audits and equipment inspections
• Demonstrate troubleshooting abilities
• Maintain open and professional line of communication with operations
• Respond to unplanned/emergency work requests in a timely & effective manner
• Follow food safety and good manufacturing practices
• Be highly motivated and able to work independently

Education & Experience Requirements of Ammonia Refrigeration/Boiler Technician:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing environment; or 4 years’ direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Industrial maintenance experience should include comprehensive knowledge in three or more of the following areas:
