Job summary

Galent is seeking a Transaction Monitoring Analyst (L1) to perform the initial review of alerts in a high-volume environment. You will analyze customer and transaction data, document findings, and clear non-risk alerts while escalating higher-risk cases to L2 analysts for further investigation.

The role requires a basic understanding of AML/CFT and transaction monitoring, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Review transaction monitoring alerts using established procedures and playbooks.
• Review customer KYC profiles, risk ratings, transaction history, and account information.
• Perform initial risk assessments and identify potentially suspicious activity.
• Clear alerts that meet predefined risk-irrelevant criteria with proper documentation.
• Escalate unusual, complex, or higher-risk alerts to L2 Analysts.
• Maintain accurate and complete case documentation.
• Work closely with L2 Analysts, Team Leads, Compliance, QA, and Audit teams.
• Meet quality, productivity, and turnaround-time expectations in a high-volume environment.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to process improvements.
