Job summary

IQVIA is seeking experienced Medical Science Liaisons to support a late-stage AML program. This field-based role engages with hematology/oncology investigators and clinicians to exchange scientific data, discuss disease biology, MRD, and evolving standards of care.

You will build and maintain relationships with KOLs, support advisory boards and investigator meetings, and contribute to Medical Affairs objectives.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree required; PharmD, MD, DO, PhD, DNP, NP, PA or equivalent strongly preferred from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of Medical Science Liaison (MSL) experience or relevant clinical experience (including being a clinical development scientist in pharma/ biotech) within hematology and/or oncology.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hematology/oncology required, with demonstrated therapeutic area expertise.
• Demonstrated track record of success in medical affairs, clinical development, clinical practice, scientific engagement, or related healthcare roles.
• Strong understanding of healthcare stakeholder segments, treatment landscapes, and market dynamics within oncology.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and other digital engagement tools.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Position may require compliance with client-specific site access requirements, including applicable vaccination or health screening protocols.
• Familiarity with planning and execution of clinical trials in oncology and related investigator-initiated studies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs, academic investigators, community hematology/oncology leaders, and priority institutions across the assigned territory.
• Engage in compliant, peer-to-peer scientific discussions regarding AML, hematologic malignancies, immunotherapy approaches, mechanisms of action, clinical trial data, biomarkers, MRD, relapse risk, and evolving standards of care.
• Communicate complex clinical and scientific information clearly to diverse external stakeholders, including physicians, researchers, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Support disease-state education, scientific education programs, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and other medical activities, as appropriate and in accordance with approved materials and compliance requirements.
• Tactically execute scientific exchange with HCPs, KOLs, formulary committees, and other key stakeholders using client-approved materials.
• Identify medical community training and educational needs.
• Serve as a first point of contact for investigators for initiation of investigator-initiated studies.
• Provide investigators with technical support for study development.
• Identify and communicate key clinical and research issues from industry leaders to MSL leadership.
• Maintain clinical expertise through self-education and conference attendance.
• Increase client company visibility with current and future thought leaders.
• Enhance professional interaction between client company and industry leaders.
