Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an Associate Consultant in Business Unit Control to support AML compliance for new WM account openings. You will review client files, ensure regulatory conformance, and escalate risks to Global AML Management while applying standard procedures to resolve issues.

Strong analytical and written communication skills are essential. The role requires knowledge of AML, CIP, EDD and KYC rules, and collaboration with front office teams to facilitate inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Requires Financial Institution Regulatory and Compliance knowledge including AML, CIP, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulatory requirements and Economic Sanctions laws and regulations, usually acquired through formal education or experience.
  • Requires strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required to analyze and summarize information
  • Requires strong written communication skills required to document work completed and summarize findings
  • Requires strong organizational skills

  • Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems; analyzes information and standard practices to make judgments

Associate Consultant, Business Unit Control
Major Duties:
  • Reviews client files for conformance with applicable AML policies, procedures and regulatory requirements for new WM account openings and works with front office teams to facilitate queries.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

Salary Range:

$61,500 - 98,300 USD Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
