Job summary

Amite County School District substitutes and aides play a vital role in keeping classrooms active when regular teachers are absent. This part-time role offers opportunities to mentor students and support learning across Gulfport, Long Beach, Biloxi districts with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for High Schools).
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Availability to work at least three days a week for Gulfport, Long Beach and Biloxi Schools.

Responsibilities

• Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans and Kelly policies.
• Build a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student ability and interests.
• For long-term assignments, develop lesson plans, build, administer, and grade tests and assignments.
