Yorktown Systems Group in Alabama is seeking an experienced Amharic Linguist to provide linguistic support services, including interpretation and translation for various projects. The role is remote, primarily based in Huntsville, AL. Candidates must have certification in language proficiency under one of three categories and be able to provide foreign language instruction, alongside consecutive interpretation. This position offers an opportunity to work on government contracts and locations worldwide, requiring flexibility and teamwork.

Formación

• Qualified and certified linguist in English and another language.
• Willingness to live and work in harsh environments.

Responsabilidades

• Provide interpretation services in various settings.
• Translate written, audio, and video materials.
• Deliver foreign language instruction.

Conocimientos

Experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students

Ability to conduct consecutive, accurate translation and interpretation

Fluency in English and the foreign language including colloquial terms

Ability to function effectively under pressure

Knowledge of specialized vocabulary related to Government roles

Educación

Certification in Category I, II or III as per requirements
