Job summary

A language service provider is seeking an experienced Amharic to/from English Translator, Editor, and/or Transcriber to work on legal documentation. Key responsibilities include translating, editing, and transcribing legal documents while ensuring adherence to legal terminology. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and must be a U.S. citizen willing to undergo a government background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in translation and/or editing between English and a foreign language.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in audio transcription with relevant software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Translate, edit, and transcribe legal documents and audio files from Amharic to English and vice versa.
• Edit audio transcriptions and legal documents while ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal terminology.
• Review and certify the quality of other translators' work as needed.
