Opportunity Overview:

LSA is seeking American Sign Language Interpreters for a client in the Redding, CA area. Interpreters in the LSA network operate as independent contractors, allowing them to negotiate competitive fees based on experience, credentials, and market conditions.

Network interpreters can accept or decline assignments to fit their schedules. They gain opportunities to handle challenging assignments and enhance their industry experience. Interpreters are expected to commit to accepted assignments and arrive onsite by the scheduled time.

All interpreters have access to our web-based invoicing platform and receive 24-hour support from our coordinators for assignments, invoicing, and queries.

Location:

Applicants must be in or near the Redding, CA area or able to travel there.

About the role:

Interpreters in the LSA network are expected to meet the following requirements:

1. Associate or Bachelor degree
2. RID certification
3. State’s QA equivalent level certification
4. Proof of license or registration
5. Fluency in English and American Sign Language
6. Knowledge of and adherence to interpreting ethics
7. Experience and comfort working in medical and/or mental health settings
