Job summary

A language services provider is seeking American Sign Language Interpreters in the Beaumont, TX area. As an independently contracted interpreter, you will have the flexibility to negotiate fees based on experience and credentials. Responsibilities include accepting assignments, arriving on-site as needed, and utilizing a web-based invoicing platform. Qualifications include a degree, RID certification, and fluency in both English and American Sign Language. Experience in medical settings is a plus.

Opportunity Overview

LSA is looking for American Sign Language Interpreters for a client in the Beaumont, TX area. LSA network interpreters are independently contracted and can negotiate competitive fees based on experience, professional credentials, and market factors. Interpreters have the ability to accept or decline assignments that fit their schedule and are expected to remain committed to accepted assignments, arriving onsite by the time requested by the client.

All interpreters are provided access to our web-based invoicing platform and 24‑hour coordinator support for assignments, invoicing, and general queries.

Location

To be considered for this role, you must be in, near, or able to travel to the Beaumont, TX area.

About The Role

Interpreters in LSA’s network of independent contractors are asked to meet the following requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor degree
• RID certification
• Interpreter’s state’s QA equivalent level certification
• Proof of license or registration
• Fluency in English and American Sign Language
• Knowledge of and adherence to the ethics of interpreting
• Experience and comfort working in medical and/or mental health settings
