Job Title: Manager, Financial Analysis - Salary: $20-30 Hour - Company: American Airlines - Location: Phoenix, USA - Educational Requirements: Bachelor Degree

Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture a team of analysts responsible for essential financial analyses across business units, producing industry benchmarking reports and research.
• Build relationships with internal finance, business, and functional partners to provide financial perspective and analysis to support key decisions across business units.
• Maintain a comprehensive data set of industry financial developments and deliver actionable insights to help the board in creating or revising key financial objectives.
• Create in-depth market, industry, competitor, and macro‑economic analyses that characterize the current environment, influence future decisions, or open business opportunities.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to drive business growth through project management and evidence‑based practices.
• Build and audit quantitative models to evaluate the financial impact of capital initiatives and drive initiatives.
• Deliver executive and board level presentations including deep analysis of opportunities, risks, costs, benefits, decisions, and recommendations for corporate projects.
• Serve as subject matter expert or delegate responsibility for determined projects or initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field or equivalent education and experience.
• Previous experience leading financial analysis, building or managing complex financial models.
• Experience in the airline industry with understanding of the commercial and cargo segments within aviation.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams to identify, design, and execute key initiatives.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, relationship building, and collaborative skills across a broad cohort of stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large‑scale projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Capacity to guide, influence and drive performance by asking probing questions, challenging assumptions, and influencing partners.
