Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales, Compliance, Quality, PM, Procurement, and Product Development to resolve compliance issues.
  • Research product compliance requirements for fire suppression products.
  • Coordinate with UL, FM, and other agencies for approvals and listings.
  • Create technical documents and instruction literature.
  • Review design changes for compliance adherence and support audits.
  • Provide certification documentation to the sales team and customers.
  • Handle a dynamic workload with focused detail on critical projects.
  • Assist other engineering team projects as needed.

Job Description

Responsible for ensuring products are suitable and abiding by the standards and regulations for the fire suppression market in all regions where Amerex products are sold.

Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Trade Compliance, Quality, Product Management, Procurement, and Product Development to resolve Compliance issues and Customer requests.
  • Perform research to understand, learn, and know requirements for product compliance for fire suppression products.
  • Work with regulatory agencies such as: UL, FM, etc. for product approvals/compliance and associated listings.
  • Create technical documents and instruction literature as needed.
  • Review and approve product design changes for adherence to Compliance standards.
  • Schedule and support audits and site visits by regulatory agencies.
  • Provide certification documentation to Amerex Sales team and customers as requested.
  • Ability to handle a dynamic workload: from multi-tasking to very focused detail-oriented work during critical projects.
  • Willingness to work and assist with other engineering team projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Materials, or Fire Protection Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university.
  • Excellent team communication, time management, human relations, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • High degree of attention to detail; demonstrates accuracy.
  • Self-directed, energetic, dependable, and thorough.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk, SolidWorks, or other CAD software.

Summary of Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. While conducting R & D efforts, this position may involve working with hazardous materials, and environmental changes (heat/cold).
