Job summary

McWane, Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to operate and maintain machine shop equipment, producing and testing quality components in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow technical specifications, safety standards, and production goals. Responsibilities include planning from orders and drawings, loading stock, verifying settings, and performing precision machining tasks while maintaining equipment and documenting logs.

Qualifications

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass a post-offer drug test, background check, and fitness review.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and self-motivation skills.
  • Willing to train, work, and rotate through all department work stations and work in other departments as needed.
  • Capable of working in seasonal high temperatures and humidity (conditioned air environment).

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those and employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, and environmental changes (heat/cold), and the employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments, utilizing proper body mechanics. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.

Physical Requirements
  • Clean and prepare units to meet production and quality standards.
  • Safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, rotating, and standing for extended periods.
  • Utilize vacuums, brooms, and other cleaning equipment to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Conduct repetitive loading and unloading of shells during production processes.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools for assembly and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform frequent wrist and hand movements required for precision work.
  • Maintain consistent productivity in a physically demanding, fast‑paced environment.
