Job summary

Amerex Corporation, a global leader in fire suppression products, is seeking a Setup Technician in the PEX department. You will use hand tools, power tools, and fixtures to investigate and fix line issues and ensure smooth production.

The role requires reading faults, quick problem solving, and teamwork to keep lines running efficiently. You will also follow safety rules and support other technician roles as needed.

Qualifications

• Use hand tools or machines to investigate, disassemble and assemble parts.
• Prepare lines before the production shift starts.
• Read faults and fix lines to maintain efficiency.
• Be trained in other technician roles to fill in if needed.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean working environment.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions.
• Follow job procedures and safety paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with team.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Description

The Setup Technician will use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fixtures to investigate and correct various issues with the lines in the PEX department.

Qualifications

• Utilize hand tools or machines to investigate, disassemble and assemble parts.
• Come in before the production shift starts to prepare the lines for the day.
• Ensure the line is operating efficiently by reading faults and correcting them quickly.
• Fast thinking to recognize problems and fix them as quickly as possible.
• Communicate with others when a problem is more- than their ability.
• Walk at a brisk pace for most of  the day.
• Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Be trained in other department technician roles, to be able to fill in if another department needs a technician.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by compliance with company work and  safety rules  policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity - the ability to precisely assemble parts/assemblies on fast paced production line.
• Comprehend and follow blueprints, work instructions, EHS, and job procedures, Job Safety Analysis, and applicable paperwork.
• Communicate efficiently in team members.
• Perform other duties as required.
