Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Operations Research, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, information management, logistics analysis, or related analytical disciplines.
• 3+ years in supply chain.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytical products using Microsoft Office applications and data visualization tools.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.

Job Description – Senior Data Analyst - AMCOM - ** Contingent**Position SummaryThe Senior Data Analyst shall collect, process, and analyze data to extract meaningful insights, identify patterns and support decision-making. Utilizing tools and technologies such as data mining, Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, and data visualization, the Senior Data Analyst shall transform raw data into actionable information.The Senior Data Analyst provides advanced data mining, statistical modeling/analysis, trend analysis, machine learning and Tableau/power BI, serving as a technical lead to monitor and deliver monthly support.Key QualificationsEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesData Collection and AnalysisCollect, validate, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to support AMCOM operational, logistics, and readiness requirements.Provide advanced data mining, statistical analysis, trend analysis, and causal analysis, serving as a technical lead to monitor and deliver monthly support for supply chain activities IAW CDRL A004.Integrate multiple disciplines within an operations research team, translating analytical methods into practical applications for operational managers.Analyze trends, performance indicators, inventory metrics, readiness data, and supply chain information to support leadership decision-making.Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data used for reporting and analysis.Reporting and Business IntelligenceLead the development, design, and maintenance of recurring and ad hoc reports, validation, and implementation activities related to data management solutions.Process Improvement and Mission SupportEvaluate existing business processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational visibility.Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), data management guidance, user manuals, and training materials.Support mission analysis efforts related to medical logistics readiness, force projection activities, and sustainment operations.Collaborate with logistics analysts, procurement specialists, program managers, and Government personnel to address complex operational challenges.Strategic Decision SupportPrepare executive summaries, briefings, information papers, and management reports for ALC leadership.Support the development of performance measures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with mission objectives.Conduct research and analysis to support strategic planning initiatives, operational assessments, and readiness reviews.Provide actionable insights that enhance medical materiel visibility, asset accountability, and supply chain responsiveness.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in data science, Operations Research, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, information management, logistics analysis, or related analytical disciplines.Minimum of 3+ years in supply chain.Experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytical products using Microsoft Office applications and data visualization tools.Demonstrated ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to operate standard Army network systems, including STAMIS, LMP, GCSS-Army, APAS, IGE/GTN, i3Log, and Material Trackers.Knowledge of data analytics principles, reporting methodologies, and performance measurement techniques.Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and operational risks through quantitative and qualitative analysis.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and other reporting platforms.Ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.Knowledge of database concepts, data management practices, and data governance principles.Ability to manage multiple projects and reporting requirements in a dynamic operational environment.Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.Preferred QualificationsExperience effectively communicating technical inventory and supply information among users, HQ AMC, AMCOM, ALC, SCMD, PEOs, other Army Material Command (AMC) Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), other Department of War (DoW) services and agencies, DoW Disposition Service, Army DEPOTs, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEMs). or military logistics organizations.Experience supporting understanding Army transformation initiatives and their impact on supply operations as part of the Objective or Future Force.Experience developing Power BI dashboards, automated reporting solutions, and executive analytics
