Job summary

NYU Langone Health in Mineola, NY is seeking an Ambulatory Care Nurse for Surgical Oncology to coordinate nursing practice and clinical policies in a dynamic setting.

The role requires a BSN or eligibility for BSN, NY RN licensure, BLS, and 2 years of relevant nursing experience. The position is full-time, day shift, with comprehensive benefits and a strong focus on patient education and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• ADN may be approved contingent upon enrollment in BSN.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience in ambulatory or surgical oncology.
• Current New York RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Record information in electronic health record.
• Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans.
• Administer medications, provide wound care, and perform patient triage.
• Assess and monitor patient responses to treatments and anesthesia.
• Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed staff and technicians.
• Support coordination and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies.
