Job summary

Trinity Health's St. Peter's Hospital Ambulatory Surgery unit is seeking a Patient Care Tech to gain hands-on patient care experience. This is a full-time, 12-hour day shift with Monday-Friday 5am-1pm; the unit is closed on 6 major holidays.

You will perform direct and indirect patient care under a registered nurse, assist with daily living activities, take vitals, document care, and help manage supplies. Requires a high school diploma or GED and SPHP PCT training; must be able to lift and stand

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and stand for long hours.
• Completion of SPHP PCT training program and unit-specific competencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding and ambulation.
• Taking vitals and patient care documentation.
• Managing supplies.
• Perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
