Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for Ambulatory Surgery (0600-1600). The RN will promote and restore patient health by the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, providing support to patients, visitors and families, and teaching patients and families.

Required: New York State RN licensure and ADN; BSN preferred and 1+ year experience; shift 9.5 hours, FTE 0.94, Days. Pay range: $40-$56 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient care requirements and establish plan of care throughout the patient’s experience.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families and friends.
• Educate patients and families on disease, medications, and self-care.
• Document patient care in medical records accurately and timely.
• Maintain infection control practices and safe, clean environment.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
