Job summary

Bristol Health in Bristol, CT invites applications for the ASU/ENDO nurse in the ambulatory surgery and endoscopy units. The 36-hour daytime position includes evaluating and admitting procedural patients and recovering and discharging them after procedures.

The successful candidate will have a BSN or associate degree, CT RN license, ACLS within 6 months, and BLS at hire; prior telemetry or critical care experience is preferred. Some weekend/endovernight ENDO call is required.

Qualifications

• BSN or Associate Degree required.
• Current CT RN License in good standing.
• One year of telemetry or critical care experience preferred.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess and admit procedural patients in the ambulatory surgery and endoscopy units.
• Recover and discharge patients after procedures.
• Circulate during endoscopy procedures and assist the gastroenterologist.
• Take ENDO call on certain weekends and overnights.
