The role requires an RN license in Washington, BLS certification, and at least one year of surgical or perioperative nursing experience, with duties expanding to supervision and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
• 1 year Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assumes independent responsibility for pre/post phases of surgical care; utilizes the nursing process to provide perioperative nursing care.
• Coordinates total patient care with health care team members and serves as a patient advocate.
• Acts as liaison between physicians, staff, patients and families to ensure safe and effective patient flow.
• Supports nursing standards and contributes to the Mission, Vision and Values of Kadlec Regional Medical Center.

Ambulatory Surgery Center RN at Providence Health and Services summary: The Ambulatory Surgery Center RN provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care, managing patient care before, during, and after surgery in coordination with healthcare teams. They act as patient advocates, ensure safe and effective patient flow, and support professional nursing standards. This role requires a registered nursing license, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting.

Description Under the direction of the RN Manager ASC KC, assumes independent responsibility/accountably for the direct, primary care of patients through the pre/post phases of surgical care; Utilizes the nursing process to provide comprehensive nursing care during the peri-operative phase; Coordinates total patients care in coordination with other health care team members. Functions as a patient advocate utilizing the Patients’ Bill of Rights; Demonstrates professional growth and development by accepting responsibility and accountability for one’s nursing practice; Serves as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients and their families to facilitate safe and effective flow of patient care in a manner consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Kadlec Regional Medical Center; and assists in providing direction and supervision of nursing and support staff, as well as perform related duties as assigned.
