Job summary

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is seeking a motivated Billing Coordinator to join our team. We operate 6 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms, providing outpatient procedures across multiple specialties.

Position requires weekdays only with possible early mornings or evenings; no holidays or weekends. The role includes coding, billing, documentation review, and collaboration with Medical Records to ensure chart completeness and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Ambulatory surgery center billing, collections, and medical records experience required or preferred.
• Knowledge of current coding conventions for ambulatory surgery.
• Third-party payer knowledge: Medicare, Managed Care, Commercial, Worker's compensation.
• 10-key calculator operation; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify procedures and diagnoses and code for billing.
• Prepare batch for service dates; post, balance and close for the day.
• Submit charges to payers; perform re-bills as needed.
• Maintain implant tracking log and charge master updates.
• Coordinate with Medical Records for chart completion and confidentiality.
• Ensure physician signatures and chart integrity.
• Back up AR functions as needed.
