Job summary

Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, NE seeks a Specialty Clinic LPN/RN Clinical Support Nurse to coordinate patient care, manage the EHR, referrals, and scheduling, and support clinic operations for efficient specialty services.

You will work with providers and the multidisciplinary team, perform telephone triage, and assist with direct nursing care during specialty visits, with focus on patient education and seamless workflow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Registered Nurse program.
• Current Nebraska LPN or RN license (or eligibility for licensure).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Two or more years of ambulatory, specialty clinic, surgical, or outpatient nursing experience preferred.
• Experience using Oracle Health/Cerner or comparable electronic health record preferred.
• Knowledge of referral process, surgery coordination, and ambulatory clinic workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage Electronic Health Record (EHR) Documentation and provider orders.
• Coordinate patient referrals with providers and scheduling staff.
• Coordinate follow-up care and testing as directed by providers.
• Perform telephone triage and document encounters in the EHR.
• Coordinate patient care across services to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direct clinical nursing care during specialty clinic visits within licensure.
