Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse with pediatric experience to support patient and family care in a busy clinic setting. You will provide family-centered nursing care, assess needs, and implement and evaluate care using evidence-based practices.

Ohio RN licensure is required, with a BSN preferred and completion of BSN within 5 years. Three years of pediatric clinical experience is preferred. Flexible evening shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred; must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio is required.
• Three years of pediatric clinical experience or an equivalent education/experience is preferred.

• Friday: 8:00am-5:30pm

Essential Functions

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance.
• Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
• Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
