Qualifications

• Clinic experience is preferred.
• Experience providing patient care is preferred.
• Must follow Standard Precautions and OSHA guidelines.
• Knowledge of the KS Nurse Practice Act required.
• Respect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Proficient with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with checking in, examinations and procedures.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments; clarify orders with pharmacies.
• Triage patient telephone calls and assess health status.
• Coordinate patient services: labs, point of care testing, x-rays, diagnostics, home care, admissions.
• Educate patients about medications, tests, X-rays and procedures.
• Notify patients of test results and provider disposition.
• Document medical information using EMR and forms.
• Assess rooms for safety and remove hazards.
• Communicate safety and care issues to appropriate staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of exam/treatment rooms and supplies.
• Participate in Patient Safety Rounds.
