Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for a pediatric clinic role with a family-centered approach. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm; previous pediatric experience preferred. This position emphasizes health promotion and safe, effective care across the episode of care.

The ideal candidate will be licensed as an RN in Ohio, hold or work toward a BSN, and have 3+ years of pediatric clinical experience. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required.
  • Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
  • Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.
  • Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and reporting important information and updates back to staff.

  • CONTINUOUSLY: Audible speech, Computer skills, Decision Making, Hearing acuity, Interpreting Data, Lifting / Carrying: 0-10 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 11-20 lbs, Lifting / Carrying: 21-40 lbs, Problem solving, Repetitive hand/arm use, Standing, Walking
