Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Primary Care nurse to provide episodic and ongoing care to patients remotely by telephone or web portal, guided by nursing theories and shared governance. Required are RN licensure with KSBN flexibility, BLS/ACLS as per department, and strong communication and math skills for medication administration.

Qualifications

A Brief Overview

Primary Care nursing is a specialty within the nursing profession that encompasses the care of individuals across the life span who present with physical, emotional, or psychological alterations of health. Primary Care nurses provide episodic and chronic nursing care to patients of all ages and all health conditions remotely by telephone or web portal. Primary Care nurses have adapted nursing process to include components of triage/assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of human responses when caring for patients. The delivery of professional nursing care at Stormont Vail Health is guided by Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring and the theory of Shared governance, both of which are congruent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • Experience in a clinic setting, past inpatient, and or procedural nursing experience. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse - KSBN A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted. Required
  • Basic Life Support - BLS RQI, CPR or ACLS certifications may be required in lieu of or in addition to BLS depending on department. Must have within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS Must have within 90 days of hire.
