Job summary

Providence is seeking an Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician to support our Eagle River clinic. This full-time, day-shift role involves patient interviews, appointment coordination, and documentation to assist ambulatory pharmacists.

Responsibilities include prior authorizations, prescription renewals, and potential vaccine administration within scope. Alaska license required, NCPT within 2 years preferred, with 1–2 years of experience depending on certification.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Alaska Pharmacy Technician License required upon hire.
• NCPT certification within 2 years of hire.
• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience if PTCB; 2 years if without NCPT.
• Preferred: Pharmacy technician program and customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle appointments and document patient information through interviews.
• Coordinate prior authorizations and prescription renewals.
• May administer vaccines when in scope for the site.
