Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Pharmacist in Pensacola, FL, within the Ascension Medical Group Administration department. This full-time, day shift role emphasizes safe medication therapies, precise compounding/dispensing, and proactive patient education.

You will mentor technicians and rotating students while contributing to a high-performing team. Requirements include Florida licensure and a PharmD or equivalent degree, with 5 years ambulatory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy required.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
• 5 years of ambulatory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize medication therapies by proactively identifying and resolving potential drug-related issues, ensuring patient safety and clinical efficacy.
• Deliver precise compounding and dispensing services, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness for every patient.
• Educate and counsel patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless, collaborative care.
• Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians and rotating students to support operational excellence and professional growth.
