Job summary

Responsibilities include establishing therapeutic relationships, coordinating care using nursing process, documenting, and contributing to quality initiatives. Part-time Shift 1, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; 8-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• Current license and credentials by the state they are assigned.
• At least one year of nursing experience.
• BSN required for those hired after January 1, 2014.
• Transfers from other Rush entities require a BSN prior to transfer.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Analytical ability.
• Communication skills to lead and teach.
• Ability to interact effectively with others in difficult situations.
• Ability to check documents and data entry; review of specimens/reports as needed.
• Specialty certification may be required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Establishes caring, therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Implements a care plan considering patient, family, and community needs.
• Maintains professional relationships with the health care team and supports care coordination.
• Collaborates to resolve conflicts and improve team relationships.
• Coordinates care using nursing process and community resources.
• Uses evidence-based ambulatory nursing interventions during visits, calls, and messaging.
• Communicates current evidence-based strategies and care protocols.
• Participates in quality initiatives and development of care protocols.
