Job summary

Gundersen Health System is seeking a full-time RN, Professional Development Nurse (Nurse Educator) to work with Ambulatory Care Departments in the Coulee region. This role emphasizes teaching, staff development, and continuous improvement.

You will lead orientation programs, evaluate nursing practice, and identify learning needs while collaborating with clinicians and managers across sites. The position includes monthly travel to affiliate locations and occasional travel to other Gundersen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing required within 5 years.
• 3–4 years of RN experience or equivalent; ambulatory care RN experience preferred.
• RN licensure to practice in Wisconsin upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill a 1.0 FTE, salaried role.
• Support orientation and onboarding of new staff.
• Evaluate nursing practice and identify learning needs.
• Serves Tomah, Sparta clinics; monthly on-site at Moundview (Friendship) and St. Joe’s (Hillsboro).
• Travel to Onalaska and La Crosse for meetings or classes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and informatics nurses.
• Travel to other Gundersen locations as required.
