Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in an ambulatory clinic. The role involves gathering patient information, assisting with visits, and ensuring clear communication with patients by phone and in person.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide high-quality care, adhere to privacy standards, and help deliver excellent patient experiences in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of MA experience or RN/LPN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of the clinician, assisting the provider to gather information relative to the patient’s visit and condition.
• Communicate clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
• Work with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care, with attention to detail and follow-through.
