Qualifications

• Arizona: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate from a Medical Assistant diploma or associate degree program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA), or registration (RMA) or CCMA is required.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.

Responsibilities

• The medical assistant provides direct and indirect patient care in the ambulatory setting under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse, following the care plan and organization policies.
