Job summary

The University of Toledo's Dana Cancer Center seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care and clinical procedures. Under physician supervision, you will provide individualized patient care and assist the health care team to ensure high-quality service.

Required credentials include a Medical Assisting diploma or certificate, CMA/RMA certification, and active BLS. Prior EMR and ambulatory care experience are preferred. This on-site role supports routine outpatient activities and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Medical Assisting Diploma, Degree or Certificate required; CMA/RMA preferred.
• Credentialing within 120 days of hire; active BLS certification required.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records and ambulatory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing healthcare services and provide direct patient care under physician supervision.
• Maintain positive working relationships with the healthcare team and operate standard office equipment.
• Support outpatient/ambulatory care areas and ensure accurate patient documentation.
