Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a flexible Medical Assistant to join its Ambulatory Float Team. You will provide patient care and clinical support across 25+ specialties, assisting multiple clinics and care teams throughout the UCLA Health ambulatory network.

As a full-time staff member, you will travel to assigned sites in Southern California, support diverse patient populations, and contribute to efficient clinic operations while expanding your clinical skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program.
• Active CPR certification/BLS from AHA or Red Cross.
• Ability to take vital signs, venipunctures, injections, administer medications, and obtain drug refills.
• Knowledge of instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and procedures.
• Knowledge of symptomatology of common and/or life threatening medical problems and assessing abnormal laboratory values.
• Ability to use computerized patient care systems and proficiency with the Windows operating system.
• Ability to travel to multiple sites within UCLA Health community practices and work a variable schedule.
