Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part‑time Medical Assistant to support ambulatory clinics in the Wake Forest Baptist region, covering Northwestern areas and Winston-Salem. The role requires CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA/NHA/NAHP/NRCMA certifications and BLS, with at least two years of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities include patient intake, vitals, specimen collection, vaccines, and documentation in the EMR. This position offers 24 hours per week in a typical outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Must have CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMA, NHA, NAHP, NRCMA, or NRMA certification; BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments, procedures, surgeries, and hospital admissions as applicable.
• Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures; administer meds and vaccines as directed.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens; perform point-of-care tests and basic assessments.
• Document patient care activities in the electronic medical record and maintain equipment and rooms.
