Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration.
• Related ambulatory/primary care clinic experience.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Intake patients into clinic by obtaining vitals, medical history, and allergies; document in the EHR.
• Report findings to the inter‑professional team and prepare charts for next visit.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage messages per clinic policy.
• Register new patients and update existing records in the practice management system.
• Perform simple diagnostic tests, draw blood, sterilize equipment, and maintain exam rooms.
• Provide patient instructions for procedures and coordinate services per payer guidelines.
• Support coverage at other clinical sites as needed and help reduce no‑show rates.
• Multi‑task and collaborate with providers to ensure efficient patient flow.
