Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required (non-citizens may be appointed per VA policy)
• Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State Agency or ACEN
• Full, active, current license as LPN/LVN in U.S. or District of Columbia
• Pass a pre-employment physical if selected
• English proficiency in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d)
• GS-5/GS-6 experience requirements and progression criteria

Responsabilités

• Provide practical nursing care to patients with various physical/behavioral conditions
• Administer prescribed medications and document actions
• Assist in patient assessment and care planning with RN/MD
• Educate patients and families about common disease processes and treatments
• Collaborate with care team to promote quality veteran care
