Sanford Health's Sheldon Clinic in Sheldon, IA is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for ambulatory care. You will work under supervision of a registered nurse or provider and serve as the primary nurse for a given provider within your scope of practice.

The position supports patient-centered care in a rural clinic setting, offers a team-based environment, and emphasizes ongoing education and community health impact.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and become licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN).
• If IV therapy/management is required in North Dakota, complete a Board-approved AASPN program or an approved IV Therapy course.
• Currently holds an unencumbered LPN license with the state board and maintains required competencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals.
• Counseling patients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans.
