Express Medical Transporters (EMT) is seeking a reliable Ambulatory Driver to provide safe patient transportation to medical appointments. The driver will use a company vehicle, ensuring timely service and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while ensuring the safety of passengers.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to coordinate transportation needs.

About EMT

Since 1996 EMT has provided compassionate, safe, and timely transport. Our team is dedicated to transporting any passenger regardless of disabilities or challenges. We take pride in transporting our passengers to their destination. We serve organizations in the St. Louis, Missouri metro and surrounding areas, including parts of Illinois and Cumberland, Maryland, as well as school districts, hospitals, and doctors. We transport individuals and families to appointments or when they need a ride. Our drivers play a vital role in ensuring safe, dependable, and courteous transportation. Job Summary

Requirements
  • Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in a driving or transportation role preferred.

  • Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid Class E driver\'s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination and drug screening.
  • Familiarity with GPS and navigation systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Experience in healthcare or patient transport (preferred).
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Punctuality and reliability in attending scheduled shifts.
  • Capacity to work calmly under pressure and in emergency situations.
  • Patience and empathy towards patients with mental or physical disabilities.
  • Ability to document transport details accurately and submit reports as required.
